You will learn all the basics needed to begin writing your own blog.

Onedia Sylvest is an artist, free-lance writer and avid blogger. She publishes and edits the Bull Shoals Beacon and her own Onedia in the Ozarks. Onedia has contributed articles to Political Voices of Women and Midlife Bloggers. She is an avid proponent of blogging and is a strong believer in using the Internet for grassroots citizen journalism. It provides a unique space to apply her creativity, photography, writing skills and technical savvy. Her previous blogs focused on photography, birding, and jewelry design. She also designs and supports blog-based websites for individuals, clubs, civic organizations, small business, and municipal government.

Onedia, a retired U. S. Navy Officer earned a Master’ of Science in Computer Systems Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Central Arkansas. She worked as a manager in computing organizations in the navy and at Texas A&M University. She taught at the U. S. Naval Academy and the University of Virginia. She also developed and presented workshops on a wide range of topics including communication skills, computing skills, problem-solving and process-improvement.
